What I found most interesting and perhaps most pertinent to high end audio is the way so called "experts" are created and used by various industries to discredit the real experts. Another very useful tactic is to have these pseudo experts call into question accepted science as if the science was not settled. In the world of high end audio this can be clearly seen in two important (profitable) areas: 1) The good old Nyquist Theorem, which opens the door to all things high resolution 2) The properties of electrical signals through wire High end audio is filled with these so called experts, whose are basic skills are either in marketing, writing or editing but not in the science of audio.
