Unfortunately I am afraid the foo will only end because the whole hobby becomes extinct. 99.99% of people will be happy with the sound from their iDevices, fashion accessory headsets, docking stations and chromecast-like devices, and the 0.01% will buy silly-priced luxury goods just to show off (without actually caring how they really sound).
