In both cases, the answer is pretty similar - decent, normal cables work
just fine, as long as connectors aren't oxidized or something. Some
weird "audiophile" cables work less well.

Are your speakers extremely low-impedance, or do you have some gigantic
power amp? If not, I wouldn't worry.
