I got some balanced Phillips valves for the pre-amp stage of my Pathos Logos amp (it uses MOSFETS in the power amp section) from Watford Valves at a very reasonable price, & they sound a lot cleaner than the original Sovteks... Might just be because they're 12 years younger, of course!
