I've never owned a touch, However I have a HiFiBerry DAC+ Pro (not XLR)
and that sounds really good to me. 
I also have not long ago bought a IQaudio PiDAC PRO with XLR's Have not
used it balanced yet but on phono I think this sounds slightly better
than the DAC+ Pro
