I am audit director over two organizations. One organization has a centralized purchasing function with approximately 155 employees. The other organization has a decentralized purchasing function with approximately 255 employees. I would like to obtain statistics or input regarding pros/cons of centralizing/decentralizing purchasing and the number of employees for companies who centralize/decentralize. I have tried NIGP. Their 30 day guest ID does not allow access to the benchmarking studies. I will be trying the other sites as well. Does anyone have any additional information that may be helpful?
