If it is helpful, most federal government Inspector General audit reports are publicly
available. Go through the Inspector General web site at www.ignet.gov to the
individual agency IG web site. For example, my office's reports are at:
http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/doc-collections/insp-gen/ GAO reports are also
available at www.gao.gov.

One of my colleagues is teaching an introductory college course in internal auditing,
and they are moving into report writing. Does anyone have a copy of a good example of
an executive summary you would be willing to share. He doesn't want to try modifying
anything from our office and would prefer something with generic information.

Thanks
