Dear Fellow Auditors,
This has been a tragic and horrific time for everyone not only in the United
States but throughout the world. President Bush has proclaimed Friday,
September 14, 2001, as a National Day of Prayer and Remembrance for Victims
of the Terrorist Attacks on September
11. He has asked the people of the United States and places of worship to
mark this National Day of Prayer and Remembrance with noontime memorial
services, the ringing of bells at the hour, and evening vigils. Employers
should encouraged and permit their workers time off during the lunch hour to
attend noontime services or share their sympathies in their own way.
My purpose in writing is to make you aware of the proclamation and to
encourage you to share the information with the staff in your units.
With hope that your family, friends and associates are safe and well.
Please take the time if only for a brief mental moment to remember and
reflect on those who have been affected. I urge you to donate blood due to
the extreme need for it. Go home tonight and just hug your love ones and
tell them that you love them every chance you get. Because...I'm sorry I
just can't. I thank everyone who has responded outside of the U.S. it helps!
