IMO preparing an annual audit plan for a mobile telecommunication company should be no different than preparing a plan for any other organization. First you should identify the audit universe, apply risk assessment factors (risk criteria), prioritize your audits based on ranking and then select the projects you will audit. There are examples of various methodologies available on AuditNet at www.auditnet.org go to the AuditNet Library and find the Audit Process Step by Step and then go to Audit Planning. I would also try to contact other mobile telecommunication company internal audit departments directly. For example Verizon, Cingular Wireless, AT&T, Cable and Wireless etc. Go to their web sites and send an email asking for an internal audit contact.
