Hi There, Keeping records in electronic form does entail statutory control. However this would depend upon country to country.
Here in India, as part of our Tax Audit report we have to report all the software on which the client prepares his account and also the various books that are capable of being generated from that system. Some govt. organization had also started the facility of submitting the report in electronic form but it should be in specific file format and version and so on. Hope this would help, Kshitiz Agarwal Partner Mahesh & Co.
