Unfortunately, I don't have such machine and disk space. If anybody start backporting, I will try answering the questions. I forgot many things in 2.4 since it was years ago when I touched it last time. I guess it is possible to backport aufs if all the features are not necessary. i.e. the limited or basic features only.
