I guess you don't want to know the difference between linux 2.6.20 and
2.6.21.
Do you mean aufs 20070320 succeeded but 20070514 failed?

Because your application or library issued getdents64 systemcall. I
guess all modern systems are using getdents64 instead of getdents.

Can you capture the message just before this gif?
I want to check the aufs debug message.
