I tried adding a branch which is mounted by FUSE_CVS/fuse/example/fusexmp.c, and succeeded. If you try fusexmp and it succeeds, then the posixovl should be fixed. Just a guess, executing 'stat /mnt' before mounting aufs may affect the result.
