Thank you very much. Doesn't work here. (well, sort of works, aufs can now see the xfs directory, but then I get an OOPS and the machine freezes, after KDE is started from union).
I noticed 2.6.24-rc5 is released, with lots of XFS fixes, so maybe it will be better to wait until 2.6.24 is finished. log of the oops ( retyped by hand :) ) - Process knotify - remove_from_page_cache - truncate_complete_page - truncate_inode_pages_range - xfs_trans_unreserve_and_mod_sb - truncate_inode_pages - vmtruncate - xfs_setattr - h_permission - xfs_vn_setattr - notify_change - au_wr_dir - vfsub_notify_change - aufs_setattr seems aufs is somewhere deep. If you need the precise log, I will try. But for now, I suggest to wait until xfs is fixed in kernel, do you agree? I will also try 2.6.24-rc5 with your aufs+xfs patch.
