There are no newer versions of pre-compiled aufs modules. You can build your own modules of version 0+20080719-4 of the package, which will be included in Ubuntu 8.10. To do this, install module-assistant and aufs-source (this one from intrepid) and run m-a a-i aufs.
These packages are based on a version of aufs which is 2 months old, but it has also been patched in the last 2 months in order to fix the critical problems. This is the version of aufs which will be included in Debian 5.0 and Ubuntu 8.10. It should be stable and working, but may not have the latest stuff. AFAIK, The next version of Ubuntu (8.10) seems to get aufs directly compiled into the kernel, so using newer versions will be even more complicated (because the module won't work, at least to my knowledge). But this is done by the Ubuntu kernel team, not me. 2008/9/10 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > Hello Ben, > > Ben: >> Is there a repo with updated aufs kernel modules for Ubuntu 8.04? >> >> It currently has "20080128", how can i 'easily' update that? > > If you are looking for an ubuntu package, you might get wrong ML since > the aufs original release (on every Monday) is against vanilla kernel > only.
