Hi again (and sorry for the mal-formatted emails I sent earlier on, I had problems with mutt I didn't really understand :)), I have repeated the entire process of patching and building and eliminated some factors that could have contributed to the segfaulting I described in my earlier mails, so now I can get the rt- and aufs-patched kernel to boot in both systems, regular Debian install _and_ new snapshot liveCD. So far, everything looks great! For now I have enabled debugging symbols for aufs and the kernel so it might become easier to trace any problems from here. Thank you so much for your support on this issue! One question that I'd like to ask you is how this could possibly work in the future for newer kernel releases.
