I tested on my debian lenny system with plain aufs2-33, but I could not reproduce the problem. Did you apply aufs2-standalone#aufs2-33 to the ubuntu (debian) patched kernel source files? If so, someone else might modify Kbuild system. But I am not sure. Anyway I have no objection filling the prompt string. Would you test this patch?
