For me, it is much easier to just call this simple line: sed -i "s:__user::g" include/linux/aufs_type.h and removing the processing in the Makefile instead of doing all the other steps required to in the end get the same result as with the above line. My suggestion was this: You do that once, commit the changed header file and neither you, nor your build system nor me has to think about this issues again. I dont mind the way you create this cleanout, but doing all those steps on every user system, who wants to compile aufs2 just to remove a word looks like mainly uselessly wasted resources. -- Thomas Sachau Gentoo Linux Developer
