Hi,

I am recently running into severe problems with aufs when doing heavy
seeks on the disk.

I use aufs to mount my webservers data partition over a read-only base
image, current kernel version is
2.6.33.4-vs2.3.0.36.30.4-aufs

I use linux-vserver patch for virtualisiation but the problems occur in
the root system also, so I dont think it has something to do with
vserver patch...

As you can see here, a simple "du" on a directory nearly crahess the box:
29070 root 20 0 97.8m 680 524 R 98.1 0.0 0:11.45 du

I read about a dirlist helper - might this solve the problem? Any hints ?

Oliver
