Hi Of ourse i will test the patch and feedback the results. Take your time to do the patch sfjro. Your work is basic for our Distro (MUSIX) and only can say thanks. About the last question... I see that some fs code are not patched by the kernel RT patch... why? This code was write with safe RT methods? (semaphores... spin locks...). I an not a programmer and the question can be very wrong. if this is the case, my apologies. bye and thx again
2011/7/23 <[1]sf...@users.sourceforge.net> Hello Daniel, Daniel Vidal: > First thx for yor work. My pleasure. > The RT patch team was release a new version of the patch for kernel > 3.0-rc7... july 19. Today the oficial kernel 3.0 is in [2]kernel.org/pub. I > think the RT patch team will release soon a patch for oficial version. You > (or someone) can made a aufs RT patch for 3.0 kernel? This patch is nedeed > today? Because I am not an RT user basically, I always start developing the aufs-RT patch on demand, ie. when a user requests me, I begin. So now you requested. I will start developing the aufs-RT patch for linux-3.0 in a few weeks. It may take some time. And I'd ask you to test it when it comletes. Until then, just wait please. I don't fully understand your last question "This patch is nedeed today?". Does it mean "without the extra aufs RT patch, won't the plain aufs-3.0 work?" If so, I don't know since I have not read the RT patch for 3.0. I need to check it out first. Do I make myself clear? J. R.
