I'm trying to stay as close to the upstream as possible. 
Is there any compelling reason why this _particular_ change/commit of 3.4 
should be merged to 3.3 (so I can pass it to the upstream).
OLPC is currently using the 3.3 kernel because this appears to be the kernel of 
Fedora 17 (their upstream). So merging should come from way above...
