I don't know, really :) It is a 'hidden' file which Junjiro uses in
AUFS to store mappings for persistent inode numbers. It's very
powerful feature of AUFS. I'm not sure if this is the cause of your
reported problem, I didn't even find a way how to see (through /proc
or /sys) the real and actual size of the xino file.

Maybe the problem is somewhere else. I am no expert at all, just AUFS
user. Lets wait for Junjiro Okajima to explain that :)
