I didn't expect such simple lookup returns the error. It means that something is totally broken, I am afraid. If I send you any patches, will you apply and test it? For some cases, I may need the source files of OpenAFS. And (again) which version of aufs are you (or ubuntu raring) using? The aufs version string is printed when the module is loaded. According to http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git?p=ubuntu/ubuntu-raring.git;a=commit;h=6b1d2ea9b50034a8c5b69bb2bd714d13061861f3, ubuntu raring seems to contain aufs3.x-rcN 20120109. If it is true that you are using aufs3.x-rcN 20120109 for ubuntu-3.8.0-26.38, then you have wrong and incorrect version. I don't know why ubuntu people chose such old (over a year!) version for 13.04, and I'd suggest you to upgrade aufs to aufs3.8 20130520 or later as a first step. J. R.
