I want to use aufs to 'merge' a couple of NFS mounted dirs. It works as I want,
but I just moved the NFS mounting from fstab to autofs. Again, this works, but
I'm not convinced it will on startup.

Will the aufs mount (i.e. merge) from fstab be sufficient to cause the NFS
shares to be automounted?

If not, will they get automounted when someone accesses the aufs 'merged'
directory?

What happens if the aufs mount occurs first? Will accessing that cause the NFS
shares to be automounted?

Ideally I just want the automounting and unmounting of the NFS shares to occur
when accessed through the merged dir, exactly as if being accessed directly. Am
I going to be able to achieve this, or will aufs and autofs not sit so well
together?
