This works for me on F10:
/usr/share/vim/vimfiles/ftdetect/augeas.vim:
au BufNewFile,BufRead *.aug set filetype=augeas
And the syntax file has to be installed at:
/usr/share/vim/vimfiles/syntax/augeas.vim
