Hi Stefan, I tried the old version of racer-3d, but it didn't work properly on my computer (garbled 3d graphics).
While keeping the old package in AUR could be an idea (since someone will probably submit it anyhow), I agree with what you're saying. It would seem counterproductive and non-arch/kiss-like to grant this particular package too much care and consideration.
