Thank you for the advice. This is, in fact, what I already do (if it
affects the built package in any way). :)

But ideally, we could edit PKGBUILDs to taste *in addition to* providing
general advice about commonly-agreed tastes, or even specific advice. It
isn't an either-or kind of thing, I am multi-talented that way.
