Hi Michael, Yes, I came across the news through the Cyber News Feed, and as a member of the Arch mailing lists, I have been closely following the situation involving the rootkit malware distributed through more than 400 compromised packages. The way the community and the Arch Linux team responded to identify, contain, and remediate the issue was truly impressive. Everyone involved deserves tremendous recognition for their efforts.
I may not have mentioned this before, but I work in cybersecurity professionally. I am a Threat Hunting and Detection Engineer at a Fortune 500 company, where I focus on threat detection, incident response, and security monitoring. If there is ever an opportunity for me to assist the Arch Linux team or the broader community in any capacity, I would be more than happy to contribute. Lastly, thank you for installing and using the packages that I currently maintain. It is genuinely rewarding to know that my work is proving useful to others in the community. Thank you again for all that you do.
