Request #12629 has been rejected by eschwartz [1]: Don't be ridiculous, someone *else* left one comment 2 weeks ago and the maintainer agreed to investigate the issue. That's plainly the opposite of "not supported by any maintainer for 1.5 years".
If you're going to submit an orphan request after two weeks of waiting, at least do so with a reasonable argument. Not that it mattes as the maintainer has updated (and would have regardless had you politely left a comment asking for an update). [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/eschwartz/
