coderobe [1] filed a orphan request for execute-git [2]: pkgbuild is written against all standards - arch= is wrong, pkgver= is wrong, sources are downloaded in build(), pkgver= is fetched remotely and does not necessarily correlate with the sources acquired. maintainer has acknowledged but little interest in fixing it
