a821 [1] filed a deletion request for rust-parallel-git [2]: I suggest to delete this abandoned package (last update Aug 2016) for the following reasons.
1) The makedeps are wrong because rust/rustup do not provide a versioned 'cargo', which makes makepkg fail even if rust is installed. 2) After fixing makedeps, the package fails to compile anyway (I guess the code is not compatible with newer rust). 3) Upstream is archived (2019). There is, however, a rewrite project [0], but with a different name (redox-parallel), so this should be re- submitted as redox-parallel-git rather than fixing it IMHO. 4) The AUR packages rust-parallel [1] (and the respective -bin package [2]) are available, but they are independent software. The 'pkgbase' could be freed up for a VCS version of them.
