Hi, you misunderstood the request, probably because the maintainer did not explain it correctly. The issue is that he initially cloned https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase.git literally, instead of replacing "pkgbase" in the URL with the name of the package name (in this case "sse-bin"). I asked him to request deletion for this wrong package so he can submit a proper one with the correct `pkgbase` (I believe he cannot do that without deletion first, because otherwise there will be a name conflict). It was not meant to get repository removed. This has been a long standing issue in the AUR with people who misunderstand the submission instructions. You can see evidence of this if you look at the git history [0] of "pkgbase", which is littered with badly submitted packages. I remember there was an open issue regarding this (I cannot find it, maybe there wasn't), but here is a related issue [1]. Also look at the many previous deletion requests for pkgbase [2], which has been accepted.
