The package being updated does not resolve the problem whatsoever and I highly doubt the maintainer bothered testing it after applying PKGBUILD changes, since it fails to compile with the exact same error as before, which is easily fixed with the exact same solution as before.
I've submitted the quick and simple solution in the comment section a while ago and did not get acknowledged by the maintainer, while unfortunate AUR users who run into the issue have credited me with helping resolve their problem; issue thread linked below. https://github.com/maxcurzi/tplay/issues/65 Once again, I'd kindly ask you to reconsider my request and orphan the package to allow proper changes being made - otherwise the package will remain broken and unusable.
