Hello REDasm author

The redasm package fetches https://github.com/REDasmOrg/REDasm.git#tag=v2.1.1-fix <git+https://github.com/REDasmOrg/REDasm.git#tag=v2.1.1-fix> which seems to be the only non-beta available on github, so it seems the correct source to use for REDasm package.

The redasm-beta package fetches https://github.com/REDasmOrg/REDasm.git#tag=v3.0.0-beta5 which seems to be the latest available beta version before the 4.0 beta which was released the same day you wrote your message.

The redasm-git package version is meaningless, the -git packages always automatically use the latest commit in the git repository and they will change the version number automatically.

At the actual state both the three packages suffer the same issue reported in the comments about the minimum cmake version number.

Apart that issue I cannot see any reason to delete such package.

Do you plan to maintain these packages on AUR by yourself? In such case you should file three orphan requests ( https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/AUR_submission_guidelines#Requests ) for being unmaintained. I don't plan to remove these packages from AUR as deleting them won't solve anything. If you don't plan to maintain them I'll give others chances to maintain the packages properly instead of deleting them.

Removing your quotes as your reply was sent to me off-list only:

I see from https://github.com/FabioLolix/PKGBUILD/issues/23 you reported Fabio the current issue with the packages and he's already aware, having replied you.

So, in order to give you maintainership or time to Fabio to fix the packages, please send:

- deletion request for redasm package as it's outdated and no newer versions exist

- orphan request for redasm-git as it needs changes/rewrite, no reason to delete it if you maintain it

- orphan request for redasm-beta to update the version, no reason to delete it if you maintain it

Regards
