Hi. I am the package maintainer. The reason this package had not been updated for a long time is that HP does not release the ULD as a regular, consistently packaged driver. Newer ULD versions do not necessarily contain all the PPD files from previous versions, so updating the package requires some integration work.
I have since integrated Neurofibromin's patch (which *did not* update the upstream source, but only the package's internal machinery), and I have also integrated a newer upstream source while retaining the PPD files from the previous versions. @Neurofibromin: As I mentioned in my email, next time please also post your suggestions in the public comments so that they are visible to other users and potential maintainers. --Grufo > Neurofibromin [1] filed an orphan request for hpuld [2]: > > The package has not been updated for over 4 years.
