legendt [1] filed an adoption request for krdp-git [2]: I would like to adopt and maintain krdp-git. This resubmits request #88526 with the reasons that were missing from the previous submission.
The package currently has no maintainer and its packaging recipe was last updated on 2024-05-13. The recipe still depends on freerdp2, whereas current KRDP development sources require FreeRDP 3. It also lacks dependencies needed by current upstream and uses a non- repeatable "mkdir build" build step. This is a packaging-maintenance problem, not a request to update the static pkgver merely because this is a VCS package. I have prepared an updated PKGBUILD and .SRCINFO for the unmodified KDE upstream development branch, with current FreeRDP/Qt/KDE dependencies, missing runtime/build dependencies, a repeatable CMake/Ninja build, and a check() function. I successfully built the resulting package locally on 2026-10-20 and both upstream tests passed. The recipe is ready to publish after adoption. I use KRDP and want to keep this development package usable, update the recipe as upstream requirements change, and respond to packaging issues.
