MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for gpdfx [2]: Project abandoned in 2011, its revival fork got abandoned in 2016, 6 years ago. Package owner disowned the package. There is no benefit in keeping this broken tool. There are plenty of up-to-date and working alternatives for editing/splitting PDF files.
