MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for python2-stsci.tools [2]: Not possible to make this Python 2 package work, because dependencies like python2-astropy and python2-h5py are not only missing but broken beyond repair.
The reason is that the needed hdf5 scientific data storage format library has changed its C API headers so significantly that the deprecated Python 2 binding library would not work without significant engineering effort, which no one opted to invest.
