Request #35148 has been Rejected by diabonas [1]: The upstream repository has not been changed since 2017 either. I see no immediate reason why the PKGBUILD would need to be changed, changes should be proposed upstream instead (or a deletion request should be filed against the AUR package if this fails and the package does not work in its current state).
