MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for mesa-i915g [2]: Orphaned package, last updated in 2021.
Unneeded alternative build of [extra] mesa: Both enable the intel i915 gallium backend driver. [extra] mesa is suitable for users who need this driver. I have [extra] mesa installed on my laptop with an i915 integrated Intel GPU (Broadwell). I am able to use OpenGL hw acceleration with it (tested with some benchmark apps).
