MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for python2-mdp-git [2]: I recommend deletion of this Python 2 build of a module from an AI Toolkit library.
Package was last updated in 2016. Nothing depends on it. The build is not correct: - will use python3 if that is installed. - does not use proper cmake option to select the module to be built. - doesn't use the needed boost-python2. No one complained about these issues and it has no votes. I recommend deletion. The tool supports (and prefers) Python3. If someone needs this, that is their best choice. If not, a non-VCS install of Python2 bindings is recommended, as the current codebase might not guarantee Python2 support in the future.
