Hi Domimic, 

In my view, code should vendor in the gradle version needed for the build, via 
gradle-wrapper or some other means.

Coming from that approach, I thought it isn't that much useful to install old, 
legacy versions of gradle system-wide (at least I never wanted to do so).

But it does not bother me to keep this package on AUR, not at all.

I will cancel my deletion request shortly.
