MarsSeed [1] filed an orphan request for python-libarchive [2]: Owner seems MIA for at least 7+ months: this package only lacks setuptools makedepend, but setuptools direct execution is pending removal from Python, so this PKGBUILD need to migrate to PEP 517 based installation.
Also its consumer, d4m-git is missing more dependencies. A user mentioned the problem in 2022-12, but nothing happened. So it seems best to disown this package, along with d4m-git (PRQ#45637), and let someone else take over the maintenance.
