MarsSeed [1] filed a request to merge liggghts [2] into liggghts-git [3]: 'liggghts' is an unmaintained VCS package in disguise from 2018, without a pkgver() function.
Upstream hasn't published any tagged release since 2017, but the Git master branch continually receives updates. So users are advised to install the 'liggghts-git' package, which is kept fresh and well- maintained on AUR.
