Arch repo carries the latest stable release of gnu-netcat. If applicable, please consider submitting an Arch ticket to update that repo package with some or all of the (few) unreleased patches from upstream. Otherwise, it is advisable for people to use the much newer and actively maintained openbsd-netcat implementation, built from Debian's repackage of it in Arch repo.
