MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for python2-pytables [2]: This legacy Python2 package is no longer compatible with the current HDF5. Had the tests been enabled in check() (which I just did locally), it would have become obvious sooner (fails 12 of the HDF5 API tests).
But actually it can now be safely deleted, because it is not used anymore. (Its one optional consumer, python2-pandas is also not needed, so I've requested deletion for that as well - PRQ#46872.)
