xiota [1] filed an orphan request for motivewave [2]:

Request to orphan for poor maintainership and refusal or fix defects
that were recently introduced into the package.

`motivewave` was previously broken for over four months, when 6.7.0
was released on 2023-04-17 (over four months), until the package was
updated on 2023-08-25. This can be confirmed by reviewing the [commit
log](https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/log/?h=motivewave).  Build
log showing the broken state of the package is available
[motivewave.log](https://github.com/chaotic-
aur/packages/files/12443975/motivewave.log).  The relevant error is:

```
==> Validating source files with sha512sums...
    motivewave-6.6.15.deb ... FAILED
==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!
```

The package was updated after the maintainer received an orphan
request notification.

Recently, the maintainer introduced a `chmod` syntax error in
[61d4efc](https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/commit/?h=motivewave&id=61d4efc5898c57a8ab286e23fc393569b9a99a6),
and manually edited `.SRCINFO`
[2941953](https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/commit/?h=motivewave&id=2941953be7ac30148d4b4ad1203f79f5166dc189
),
[fe662296](https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/commit/?h=motivewave&id=fe6622969cc4f3951a61b84660a556cbb0bb2ab5
).

The maintainer has been notified multiple times of the above issues,
but has refused to fix them. As a result, the package was dropped
from chaotic-aur. Even though the package is no longer in chaotic-
aur, it should still be fixed, and I posted comments and flagged the
package to encourage the maintainer fix it. The maintainer has still
refused.

`motivewave` needs a maintainer who will keep the package up to date,
will not introduce syntax errors, and will not manually edit
`.SRCINFO` for unknown purpose.

Further, the maintainer of `motivewave` has been verbally abusive and
spammed the comments of `motivewave`, `motivewave-latest-bin`, and
chaotic-aur github. He was asked to stop multiple times, but still
writes personal attacks when he decides to reply to attempts to notify
him of package defects.
