MarsSeed [1] filed a request to merge python-pyvcf [2] into python- pyvcf3 [3]:
python-pyvcf3 is a drop-in continuation fork of PyVCF. python-pyvcf is EOL since 2016 and only compatible with Python 2.6-3.4. Both packages provide the 'vcs' directory, therefore they both have the same importable module name. 'python-pyvcf3' virtually provides the 'python-pyvcf' name.
