MarsSeed [1] filed a request to merge noto-fonts-emoji-apple [2] into
ttf-apple-emoji [3]:

Turns out that 'noto-fonts-emoji-apple' and 'ttf-apple-emoji' are
independently packaging the same font resources.

The submitter of 'noto-fonts-emoji-apple' used his own GitLab repo,
but neglected to include the appropriate license declaration.

'ttf-apple-emoji' uses GitHub user @samuelngs's repo as source, which
cites the appropriate open-source licenses (Apple emoji resources
originally published under Apache 2.0, and the derivative of Google
Noto Emoji font is distributed under SIL OFL v1.1, respecting the
original Google Noto Emoji license.).
