MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for compiz-boxmenu [2]: It seems it is best to delete this package now.
It is on the last release, from 2015 ([a]). Its mandatory dependency, python2-lxml segfaults on tests due to ABI- incompatibility with current Arch Linux libraries (libxml2, libxslt). Even with the latter installed (after skipping its tests), compiz- boxmenu-autoconfig, which is recommended to be executed first, fails to run due to missing the Python 2 module 'compizconfig'. There seem to be no such module available on AUR anymore. If compiz-boxmenu is still useful, I recommend creating a git VCS package for upstream's master branch, which seems to be still maintained, and is already ported to Gtk3 and Python3.
